Moving to Lakenheath

Hello. My husband and I will be moving to Lakenheath later this year. While we are extremely excited, we don't know much about the area. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Thiefs in Lakenheath Viilage

Several weeks ago someone stole a shovel and flowers from our front garden, and yesterday, tuesday April 07, 2009, someone stole my children's little plastic red wagon right off our front porch. It was next to our front door, and they stole it. First a shovel, now a wagon...what's next? Our car? And not only that, but stealing from children.

Any information about the missing red wagon would be appreciated. We live at 22 Eriswell Drive. Something needs to be done about this....

dose anyone know a guy called micheal(mike) as we used to know him,we hung out a bit in a crowd in the bull pub(bar) in lakenheath villiage,which is no longer there,i can't remember his surname,but he had a large tatoo of a horse on his back,it was around 1982-1984.he was stationed at usaf base in lakenheath and worked repairing weapons i think?he had a flat on the back street in lakenheath villiage.dose anyone remember him or know where he is or what he's doing?i would love to know.

Can you please help me, I am trying to contact my old friends Tony and Lizzie Stanford. He was in the RAF and we met in Gibraltrar in 1972 when we both ran the Gib Folk Club.
Tony went to work as a fireman at the RAF base at Lakenheath and I believe Lizzie worked in the library there. He is now a rock an roll singer and may be driving busses in the area.
They were great friends and I would love to get in touch again. You may know of Tony singing in the area?

Hi All,
I know many people ask and its probably a little boring but I am considering buying a property in lakenheath and would really like to know a little more about the frequency of the plane noise. I have a little baby and another young child so really need to consider this before commiting myself to moving here.
Is it just a couple of times a week or is it every day all day. The house is about 2 miles from the base near to the high street.

I am seeking Lynn Massey, who I used to work with at RAF Lakenheath in the Housing Office. Her father, now deceased, owned a pub in Lakenheath Village. I am told that she married a Yank and moved to the States, along with her mother. Can anyone please assist me in this search for her? I visited England and Lakenheath in 2000 and 2001 and I found some people that remembered her but they did not know what her address was or what her location was, other than "in the States". Please...
